Hi, last night my ORANGE TB1010 (tablet) finally get home, what i did first ? Try the game i’m developing and then…FUUUUUU
At first, i was thinking… WTF I DID WRONG ? Then i tried all games available on Google Play with Ethanon Engine (Magic Portals, Bee Avenger, Hit The Gator and Jump, Mia Jump) and all got the same results.
The entities get crazy positions (all go to the center, and the wiew is up side down), the sprites dont show on the screen or get crazy positions to, i turned of the “Auto Rotation” to see if the problems goes away but no.
So, Houston, we have a problem!

Hmmm, I haven’t seen this issue before. It looks like something is up with the shaders. I’ll investigate.

@andre.santee, same result.
I contacted the ORANGE COOL requesting the source of the ROM (to see whats going on inside), but no luck.

I couldn’t find anything …. but this problem is not found on most devices … i tested my ethanon game on many devices (including samsung galaxy s3 ,samsung galaxy s2 , some sony tablets and some unregistered tabletes (made in china) ) and it works fine ….. and using https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42072982/ethanon/libApplication.so-v0-9-9-WIP.zip does not help at all

I went to look if the orange and the go clever tablets share the same graphic unit vendor but all the information I found was too vague. Knowing wether or not it uses the same graphic chip would give me a hint.
Anyway, the thing is, text are being rendered just fine, sprites and entities that are messed up. The entity rendering process looks fine until it applies its positioning and inverts the Y axis, this is why I think it is something with the shader. It could be outside shaders (like position uniform parameters being passed incorrectly) or inside the shader, like the run-time compilation is giving is different unexpected results on these specific hardware.
Whatever it is, it must be fixable. Do the logger output any useful information?
I have simplified one of the internal shaders, please, test this new version and let me know if anything different happened:

It’s a progress Andre..now the sprites are placed just fine !!… and they work…. but the entities are still upside down and in the center ……. it looks like you are getting close ….oh and yea you know that “ethanon engine” logo that appears at the beginning of every game …. now it’s fine (before it was upside down)

Yeah, that was expected since I changed only the sprite shader. So it looks like it really is something with the shaders, now I need to find out why it happens. Stay tuned, I’ll send you another WIP version soon

The new test just made things wrong again ….. the sprites don’t work anymore srry….
