This is just a small update to let you guys know that, since I’ve been very busy with our newest game by Asantee Games, the release of v0.9.9 is taking a little big longer than usual.
The version 0.9.8 of Ethanon Engine has just been released. This version brings some bug fixes and smaller enhancements. The most significant enhancement fixes UTF-8 multibyte character handling for text drawing on Windows and the other UNIX-based platforms.
On the community news, the user @cvieira has announced his new Ethanon-powered game by Tiny Labs, Jump Mia, Jump! which is available in the Google Play Store on the lite (free) and full versions. Check it out!
Here I am again, to let you guys know what’s been going on lately around the Ethanon Engine project.
Some of you have noticed some new videos I recorded (in portuguese for now) that show some of the basic concepts on game development with the engine. Many asked for more videos in english too, which I intend to do in the future.
I had to slow down the updates around the engine community lately since we started working on our next game by Asantee Games, which made me super busy and will keep me busy at least until July. But don’t worry, I’ll still be working on the engine since this game requires many improvements, which have already started on branch v0-9-8. All new features are being listed on our change log.
With this awesome Featured Image which we’ve been calling Ethanon Warlock, drawn by our friend Luis Brueh, I’m happy to announce that version 0.9.7 is out, bringing several bug fixes and other smaller, however important, improvements. Also, the first version of the Mac OS X SDK is finally out!
More information can be found in our change-log.
